Another Four Points by Sheraton designed by Nobutaka Ashihara Architects has come to life in BHI’s 6 Platt Hotel project.
Featuring a richly toned walnut ceiling and custom laminated, graphic-laden glass, these elevators are the epitome of New York style.
Four Points by Sheraton relies on modern vertical transportation to support guest movement. As a result, the hotel requires elevator systems that combine performance with visual design.
BHI Elevators installed a custom glass elevator system for this property. Additionally, the design improves visibility while maintaining safe and efficient operation throughout the building.
However, glass elevator systems require precise engineering. Therefore, structural alignment and load balance must remain tightly controlled during installation.
BHI manages this process through careful planning and coordination. The team ensures that the system integrates cleanly with the building’s architectural layout. Meanwhile, technicians verify performance at every stage of installation.
Additionally, the glass elevator design enhances the guest experience. For example, riders gain clear sightlines while moving between floors. This adds a modern architectural feature to the hotel environment.
As a result, the system supports both function and design intent. Hotel operations benefit from smooth traffic flow and improved guest satisfaction.
BHI continues to support hospitality properties across New York City. Therefore, the team focuses on precision installation, safety compliance, and long-term system reliability in every project.
